2.2.1 As with other sites, we collect and use the data contained in log files. Our servers automatically recognise visitors domain names, IP addresses, ISP (Internet Service Provider), the browser you used to visit our site (such as google, internet explorer etc…), the time you visited and which pages you visited throughout your time on the site.

No personal information is revealed about you in this process. I also use Google Analytics to track numbers of visitors, visitor site useage statistics, location and general “traffic data” which does not personally identify you, but helps with future progression of the website.

2.2.2 Cookies are used to store information, such as your personal preferences when you visit the site. Cookies are simply there to see what pages you view and therefore what pages are useful and which are not – again helping to develop the site into something the readers want to come back to for advice and help. This can include showing you popups, or the ability to login to come features much as the members only areas.

You can choose whether to accept cookies by changing the settings of your browser, however please be aware that this may affect the usability of the site as some areas may not work as intended. On your first visit to the site you should have been asked whether you wanted to accept cookies or not – this appears in a pop up row at the bottom of the screen.
